Blessing of the Marriage of Meredith Leight and Ray Milosh will take place as part of the 8:55 a.m. liturgy today. Everyone is invited to a special edition of Fellowship Hour (including cake) at 10:05 a.m. today in the Parish Hall.

Prayer station: During the distribution of the Sacrament at the 8:55 and 11:05 a.m. liturgies, prayer ministers will be available at the southwest corner of the Nave. If you would like prayers for healing, a birthday, travel, or any other reason, please approach the intercessors after making your communion.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word will be offered at the 8:55 a.m. liturgy today. After the Collect of the Day, we invite children to gather near the font and follow the processional cross to the library. They will return to the nave for the Blessing of a Marriage.

Child care is provided during the 8:55 and 11:05 a.m. liturgies for four-year-olds and under. If you need directions to the nursery, please ask one of the ushers.

Lectionary Bible Study meets at 9:00 a.m. in Room 204.

We welcome our visitors and newcomers today. So that we may greet you, please take a visitor’s brochure from the ushers as they walk past you during the announcements, and return the information card at the door as you leave.
An orientation to the parish for newcomers will be offered at 10:05 a.m. today in the Library. We look forward to meeting you.

Vestry Election: Joe Bongiovi, Keith Brown, C L Kendall, and Barbara Post were elected as the Vestry class of 2015 in last Sunday’s balloting. Their term begins at the annual Vestry planning retreat in April.

An Introduction to Godly Play will be offered today at 10:15 in the Christian Education Commons for all interested adults. We will hear and respond to “The Story of the Great Family,” and at the conclusion of the Sunday School hour, will take a few minutes to get acquainted with the stories and materials in our Godly Play classroom. Spring Youth Event, a diocesan weekend retreat for 9-12th graders, will be on April 20-22 and focus on Relationships: with ourselves, others, and God. See the EYC bulletin board for sign-up forms. Forms returned to Paul Cizek today will be eligible for the early bird discount; sign-up forms returned later but before April 9 will pay the regular price. Partnership in Faith is an important component of planning for Holy Family’s future. The Steering Committee is seeking to identify opportunities for outreach, witness, evangelism and/or discipleship that might be financially supported as part of a capital campaign. Learn more at special events this month:
• At the Adult Forum next Sunday, February 12, members of the Partnership in Faith Subcommittee will describe their charge to the parish.

• On Monday, February 20, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., the subcommittee will host an informational open house for the Partnership in Faith application process in the Christian Education Commons. The application deadline is March 25.

Parables of Jesus: a women’s mid-week Bible Study. Beginning on Wednesday, February 15, join other women of our parish for a mid-week Bible Study focusing on parables in Matthew’s gospel. We’ll meet every Wednesday through March 28 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in the Christian Education Commons to read, study and discuss a different parable, beginning with the “Parable of the Sower” in Matthew 13. A Lenten Reflection Day with Sam and Jo Bailey Wells will take place at the Church of the Holy Family on Saturday, February 25, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sponsored by parishes of the Durham Convocation, this Lenten offering will be based on Power and Passion: Six Characters in Search of Resurrection by Sam Wells. The day is open to anyone, but registration is required. Cost is $10 which includes lunch. Paper registration forms are available in the church office, or you can register online with a credit card (http://lentenreflectionday.eventzilla.net). Newcomers are invited to be our guests for supper on Sunday, February 19, at 6:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Children are warmly welcome. Established parishioners, please bring a covered dish and help us welcome those who are new, or who still feel new, to Holy Family. For information, call the church office (919-942-3108).
