Music Teams

The 8:55 music teams work together to provide music leadership during worship at the 8:55 service.  There are two teams that alternate responsibility for playing the music.  The musical selections are made by the Director of Music and Clergy.

We invite all parish musicians that feel called to lead the parish in worship to join us as often as possible.  We welcome amateur musicians of all ages although the ability to sight read is a plus.  We provide the hymn names and files in pdf for weekly practicing if desired. 

One team is led by Boyd Gibson and currently consists primarily of string instruments and flute.  Boyd's team practices on Sunday mornings before worship.  The "Saturday Team" is team-led and meets on Saturday morning on the weekends it plays on Sunday morning.  They practice from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. and currently consist of wind instruments, violin and guitar.  Both teams are accompanied by the piano.
