The Rector Search Committee was decommissioned on January 16, 2011, after the culmination of its work in recommending a candidate to the Vestry whom the Vestry then called, the Rev. Clarke French. Documents associated with the search process may be viewed through the attachments and links below.

Parish Dialogues
The rector search committee has completed its information gathering stage and has published the Parish Profile to this website (see the right hand menu on any page). We are pleased to provide a final report on the Parish Dialogues and Surveys, a spreadsheet that includes all the “sticky notes” gathered during the dialogues and from the surveys, and the presentation made to the parish on April 18 (see attachments at bottom of page).
The purposes of the dialogues and survey were to invite participation, to build our community’s commitment to God and one another, to uncover specific examples of what we as a parish and as individuals value, and to articulate our yearnings for the future as we journey together as the family of God. There was no attempt at gaining consensus; the process was designed to identify themes. The amount of raw data is daunting! Because of the somewhat abstract nature of the responses, the data cannot be sorted into conclusive categories; therefore, it must be assembled to reveal themes and trends. It is, however, extremely important that the data be reviewed in its entirety to get a more complete sense of the diversity of the responses.
The committee wishes to thank Annie Hager-Blunk and John Blunk for reading the sticky notes with fresh eyes and helping to sort it into themes and Bridget Burless for sorting and managing the spreadsheet and, especially, for making it readable! The committee is grateful for the authentic responses of the participants and for the trust that was demonstrated by each and every one who shared his or her experiences and hopes for the future.
Prayer for the Parish
Almighty and everliving God, we acknowledge our need for you in this time of transition as we search for our new rector. We ask for your protection and guidance as we discern your will. We pray for the members of the search committee, that their minds and hearts will be open to your Spirit's leading. Give them your patience and strength in this work. Thank you for the priest you are preparing for us, whose name is yet known to you alone. We ask that he or she be open to your call. Thank you for all you have done, are doing, and will do among us to form us into your people that your name may be glorified and your love known to all people. All this we ask through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
